A MONTH TO APPRECIATE JESUS CHRIST

Friend, we are in December 2011; we ought to thank God who has been good to us and has kept us this far. Surely, He has protected us, delivered us, guided us, provided for us and blessed us and our households, our friends and ministries, beyond measure. Some of the blessings are visible but there are many more invisible blessings that we may not be aware of.

My wife and I are also thankful to God for His sustaining power. We also want to appreciate you, your faithfulness and your friendship. We pray that the good God who has kept you the whole of this year will bless you and continue to keep you in the coming years in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Friend, this month is A Month to Appreciate Jesus Christ, The Son of The Living God. The Bible says in Romans 5: 7-8 “For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Friend, God is Faithful. His love is demonstrated through Christ. In John 3:16 the Bible also mentions that God loved the world that He gave us Jesus Christ. This Month, let us thank Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His faithfulness. It is one thing for Him to come but it is another for Him to remain faithful to the cause. Jesus Christ was “…obedient unto death” Philippians 2:8 This Month let us appreciate Jesus for all He has done for us, not just materially but spiritually too.

When we think of what Jesus accomplished for us, there is so much to thank God for. Amongst other things, we can thank God for the few reasons listed below. Jesus came..…

  • “….to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28).
  • To pour out His blood for others (Matthew 26:28).
  • To take up our infirmities, to carry our sorrows, pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities and receive the punishment that brought us peace and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53)
  • To redeemed us from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13)
  • To bare our sins in his body on the tree (1 Peter 2:24; 3:18)
  • To reconcile us to God (2Corinthians 5:19)
  • To destroy the devil’s work (1 John 3:8)
  • To take away the sin of the world (John 1:29)
Friend, the birth of Jesus, His arrival on earth, His ministry and all that He accomplished is what we celebrate during Christmas. This special time of the year is a time to reflect on the goodness of God’s plan and the obedience of Jesus Christ. Let us maintain a thankful heart, praising Him for what He has done for us and ensuring that He remains the centre of our lives.

My wife and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed and prosperous New Year!
