A Month to Run.

Friend, praise the Lord! That you are reading this word is a testament to the fact that God has kept you. Blessed be the Lord, Our Savior, Jesus Christ, who forever remains faithful. My wife and I are well and are grateful to God for His keeping power.

It seems that every news items these days paints a picture of gloom, darkness, helplessness. There is nothing encouraging; If it is not the economy, it the flu scare, job losses, bank closures etc. All are messages of hopelessness. As I have asked once before, what is our response as Christian and actions as intercessors?

The Lord’s answer is a whisper, “RUN”. Not to RUN from the reality of what is unfolding but that as we see these thing happening, we are to RUN the race that HE has set for us. This Month we shall dedicate it to asking God to grant us the enablement and strength to run the race and complete it well, to HIS glory.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 9:24 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.” My prayer is that, even as we look at the question, “How do we run in such a way as to get the prize?”, God will visit you and release a Spirit of revelation knowledge and understanding in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. In addition, as HE visits you, may HE give you strategies of waiting on HIM so that HE may renew your strength and make you mount up with wings like those of the Eagle and as you run, you will not grow weary; and as you walk, you will not faint in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Run Away

Friend, the running will start by you running away from the sinners, the mockers and the ungodly. These types of people are placed in your path by the devil to derail you from the race ahead of you. May God remove them all out of your path in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. 2 Peter 3:3-4 says “knowing this first, that in the last days mockers shall come with mockery, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” Do not listen to them. Run away from them, let not their idle talk derail you in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Some will come and will only talk of how bad things are and will never talk about HOW BIG our God is. Run away from such people. In Proverbs 18:21, we are told “Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” May God guide you in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I decree that every controlling spirit over you shall be destroyed in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. You are free and no one shall compel you to join their company without your consent in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I declare, every controlling spell or curse over you will not bear fruit in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Receive the strength to run away in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. He whom the Son has set free is free indeed.

How to Run

May God help us to run this race with patience. Hebrews 12:1 says “Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us”. Friend, even though things may be hard in one way or another, this should not cause us to forget that we are in a race and God is cheering us on! Let us keep asking God to help us to lay down every weight and the sin that causes us to stagger and fall. Praise the Lord! Never forget that God is there for us. He says “….I will never leave you nor forsake you” Hebrews 13:5. Remember this, Patience is a vital prerequisite for the race.

This race is not for the swift; in fact, this race is for those that wait on the Lord. The Psalmist says it so well in Psalms 27:14 “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” God says in Isaiah 40:31 that He shall renew our strength if we wait on HIM. Friend, I pray that God will grant you wisdom to wait on HIM and an anointing to diligently seek HIM. I pray that HE will release a passion in you to persistently wait on HIM. I pray that The Almighty God will sweeten your waiting time and that HE will visit you in a special way in Jesus Faithful Name, Amen. Friend, wait, I say, on the LORD.

May God reveal to you more of how you need to run. May you run this race with love, with perseverance, with joy, with faith, with courage and most importantly, with God. Friend, God promises in Isaiah 41:10 “Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Yes, Let us run this race without fear for God is with us and if HE be for us, who can be against us?

Finish the Race

I also pray that God will grant you the grace to keep the faith and finish the race in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I have watched the Olympics and seen that sometimes you find an athlete running really well but stumbling in the last lap of the race and failing to win any medal. This will not be our portion in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I have also seen that sometimes, in car races, one car suddenly collides into another, both get off the track and both fail to win the prize. This will not be our portion in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. I pray that the grace to finish the race shall be abundant to us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Paul said, in 2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith: Now there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have longed for his appearing.”

Rewards

Paul hints us that there is a crown of righteousness laid up for him. This is not peculiar to Paul, you too can attain it if you finish the race. May God give you the wisdom to finish the race in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. As you endure all that comes your way, God also has a crown of life ready to give it to you (James 1:12). I pray that God will enable you to be a partaker of the Crown of Life in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Another great reward is mentioned in 1 Peter 5:4 which says, “And when the Chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.” A crown of glory that does not fade away, hallelujah! May we be partakers of this in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. The greatest joy, however, will be when we come into His presence, we will cast down our crowns and shout “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelations 4:11
Friend, may we finish the race and partake of this worship in the presence of the Chief Shepherd, in Jesus Mighty and Powerful Name, Amen.

God be with you,

Run, Run, Run,
